LEICAPALOOZA SPECIAL!

The second weekend of July 2025, Chicago’s streets came alive with the energy of Leicapalooza, a weekend where Leica enthusiasts, seasoned pros, and first-time shooters came together for challenges, talks, and unforgettable moments.

Conceived and brought to life by Dan Tamarkin of Tamarkin Camera, the event embodies his vision for an inclusive celebration of photography that’s as much about people as it is about cameras.

With the support of Leica USA, the insight of Phil Cuenco from Leica Akademie, and the creativity of artist–photographer Bil Brown, the weekend was packed with photo walks, lively conversations, and chance encounters that turned into lasting connections.

We at Lux Photo Lab want to give a special thank you to Dan for such an amazing event, and to our ambassador Carlos Rivera for capturing and documenting it in images.

After such a great experience, we can only start counting the days until the next Leicapalooza.
